This is a program to help you manage your repeat prescribing system. It is intended to be left running and can have a print run at any set hour on chosen week days.

The form shows all current repeat prescription master lines and the last 6 partner consultations – to identify the partner with the most recent consultations with that patient. It also shows the Priority 1 History items and the Problems recorded. You may print letters for each patient reviewed with a ‘tick list’ of further tests, investigations or other follow up. The tick list can be customised and matched with the patient letter.

Forms are printed on the date of the last allowed prescription or on the repeat until date. You may also print a letter just before the patient’s birthday as an annual review. Medication Review can be added to the patient record as each form is printed.

I have also developed a means of setting rules that suggest tests, investigations or clinic appointments based on current repeat master lines. Thus every patient taking diuretics could be reminded to have their U&Es checked (& you would be so prompted on the review form). This is quite flexible and can be used to prompt most drug related checks.

The layout of the review form can be customised as can the text of the patient letter which has birthday and review versions.
